Thomas County is growing and we are part of it! 

Embark Healthcare, Inc. has started becoming a part of our community. Embark will be located in downtown Colby in the Inlow Interiors building. Inlow's is moving one door south (red awning in photo) to make room for Embark.

We have two new eating facilities open in downtown Colby, Casa de Burritos and El Matador Lounge, and The South & Salad Bowl.

Goulosh Gift and Home Decor is now open, and is located on Franklin Ave, next to Palace Drug.

On North Franklin Ave Midwest Support and Information Services has opened a facility to offer support and resource directory information for special needs folks.

Colby Implement is now in its new headquarters just south of I-70, west of Truck Town. Colby Ag Center is in its new facility just east of Truck Town.

 

Bosselman’s truck stop has a new location at I-70 Exit 54. It includes a super-convenience store, fuel, and a Wendy’s restaurant. Hampton Inns has started breaking ground for its new facility next door to Bosselman's.

 

Acciona, a worldclass renewable energy company, will be  putting a wind farm in Thomas County, on both sides of I-70 near Mingo. Construction will begin in 2010. http://www.acciona.es/en.aspx.

 

Subway has moved to a new location, just south of Quality Inn (also at Exit 53) They have expanded hours to include breakfast.

Butch's Smokehouse BBQ, is open for business on South Range (no photo available)

J&B Meat Market "Burgers & Shakes" has moved into the old Dairy Queen building across from Butch's.

Taco John’s has opened its new location just east of the Holiday Inn Express. They have taken advantage of their new location to add breakfast service.

Sleep Inn has begun constructions on its new facility next door to Taco Johns. 

 

Earthworks Landscape has opened a new shop and tree farm on Range Avenue

 

Petro Lube truck service center has opened just south of the Oasis travel center.

 

Rosen’s, Inc. has recently opened its agricultural chemical distribution center near Bosselman’s

 

The City of Colby has just completed a multi-million dollar wastewater treatment facility. Ribbon cutting ceremony was held May 13th, with tours available

Farm Credit of Western Kansas, ACA has moved into its new facility on South Range.

 

Lang Diesel recently completed its new headquarters on South Country Club Drive.

 

Milco Environmental Service and Miller Engineering opened a joint office on Fourth Street (Highway 24) www.milcoinc.com

 

Colby’s new fire department is open for business on Country Club Drive. Ribbon cutting ceremory was held on May 13th, with tours available.

Brad Wagoner’s Repair and Performance shop has opened on Country Club Drive.

Southwind Plaza located on the South side of I70 has become home to several stores over last few months:  Mamma D's wings, Colby Sew, Mirror Image Studios, Last Horse Thief, Amy's Fashions, Ntronics, The Rock, Kansas Country Store, CJ's Boutique, Famous Footwear, ThunderChord Guitars, Bee Thrifty, Colby Dodge and Colby Bumper 2 Bumper.
